Monica Rios
Owner

Monica stepped into the business when TBM was incorporated. She assisted in organizing the startup of the new company and provided the working capital for the launch of the corporation.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior, Monica has 12 years’ experience as a Human Resources Executive under her belt. Her entire career, she has worked as a partner/consultant for Fortune 500 companies.

Monica’s duties with Total Building Maintenance cover all facets of the business.

Neil Chopra
VP, Operations

Neil, the son of immigrants from Scotland and India, was practically raised in the business. His family moved from India to Canada, and later to the United States in the 80s, where his father started a family-operated janitorial business. Neil cut his teeth cleaning his father’s offices — moving on to commercial properties by age 18.

After a brief stint serving our country as a Marine and attending college in Texas, Neil rejoined the family business — growing his expertise by serving as Operations Supervisor, Manager, and Sales Manager. Upon his father’s death in 1999, Neil became a co-owner of the family business along with other siblings.

In 2005, Neil decided to make the most of his industry expertise by launching his own janitorial service firm — incorporating Total Building Maintenance, Inc. that same year. Starting with less than 10 customers, TBM has grown to hundreds of accounts throughout Texas.

Neil’s years of working directly with clients have fostered extremely high standards for every building he inspects. He is meticulous about cleaning, both personally and professionally.

In addition to his high-level leadership responsibilities as the company’s Vice President, Neil remains very much involved in the day-to-day operations of the business.

James Ford
VP, Sales

Jim Ford and has spent the last 10 years in sales and sales management specifically for the janitorial industry with a client list ranging from small business owners to Fortune 100 companies. Jim joined Total Building Maintenance, Inc. in May 2007 as Vice President of Sales, and has consistently attracted top-notch clients with his commitment to excellence in service.

Jim prides himself in working with a "Customer First” approach — finding out exactly what the customer wants and translating it into a tailored service plan with a detailed “work scope.” Understanding that follow-up is vital to securing long-term customer satisfaction, Jim personally and regularly checks in with TBM Account Managers to make sure each client’s expectations are being met.

Originally from Connecticut, Jim moved to Dallas in 1978 and now lives in Frisco with his wife Mihyun. When not out sailing their Hunter 33' sailboat on beautiful Lake Texoma, they enjoy relaxing at home with their two daughters, Michelle and Mina, and their two Lhasa Apsos, Teddy Bear and Minnie Million.

Charles "Chuck" Cheaney
Operations Manager

Chuck Cheaney has over 30 years of property and facility management experience. He has worked for national commercial real estate companies, as well as regional commercial owners and developers, and brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the Total Building Maintenance, Inc. team.

Chuck has been in the commercial janitorial business for the last 13 years, managing such large-scale projects as airports (2,500,000 square feet at one location), manufacturing facilities (1,500,000 square feet — largest single facility), medical facilities, workout facilities, multi-tenant office buildings, and single-use corporate campuses. He has successfully overseen in excess of 100 accounts and supervised more than 300 employees.

Chuck attended the University of Houston where he studied business. He has also successfully completed several management and sales training courses, as well as specialty hard surface floor care and carpet care classes.

Erica

Erica Vasquez

Erica Vasquez
Office Manager

Although relatively new to the janitorial industry, Erica’s business career spans over 10 years, with accounting expertise on various levels. After taking a few years off to be an at-home mom for two children, she joined Total Building Maintenance, Inc. in 2007 in the role of Office Manager.

In addition to handling the accounting aspects of the business, Erica has strategic oversight of the daily office operations, as well as employee relations.

Erica holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management — majoring in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior — from the University of North Texas.
